This class has a small deliverable each week but they are pretty low lifts/efforts. The Professor definitely has deep connections to eCommerce and is pretty good at teaching some of the basics. Each topic could probably be covered in more depth, but that's the nature of a survey course like this.

Ivan brings entrepreneurs to classes to share their entrepreneurial stories, which broadened my horizons. If you are or want to be a person full of curiosity and creativity, this is the elective you should take. How much you can get from this class will depend on how much efforts you put into it. It is a good starting point for entrepreneurship.

Ivan is a big personality, but he's fun and extraordinarily well connected in the LA investing and entrepreneur ecosystems. He brings in the best guest speakers in Marshall by far. You will learn a ton from all the VCs and founders that come to speak. The class has minimal work. No real exams and a semster-long group project that is not that difficult.

If you want to learn about e-commerce, this is your class. Ivan knows a lot about the industry and has some great guest speakers, including the CEO of Bouqs.com. He is very well connected in the industry and is able to link the VC space to the entrepreneurship side of things. Very minimal work and grades.

This professor is a bit full of himself and his connections in the entrepreneur community. He is engaging but he doesn't do a good job of communicating key takeaways or clear direction of the course. The guest speaker entrepreneurs are interesting but it would be nice to have some diversity in who he brings in. I thought this course was going to be very useful content but it has fallen short for me.

I like Ivan, but he is definitely not for everyone. If you don't mind being cold called and in a class environment that is a little bit rash and inappropriate, I would recommend taking it. Ivan is very knowledgeable and brought in amazing speakers that are entrepreneurs in the e-commerce space. This was the first semester the course was offered so I'm sure it will get even better in years to come.

If you are interested in learning more about e-commerce or starting your own e-commerce business take this class. The speakers are really good and provide a lot of insights. Also, I would recommend taking at least one class with Ivan.

The professor is intense, but in a good way, and the workload is extremely light. The speakers are incredible and you should absolutely take a class with Nikkhoo while at Marshall.

Ivan is intense (I loved it, but some people couldn't handle it) but will inspire you to actually do something about your idea. Go to his office hours, participate in class, engage with the speakers, and you'll learn a shit ton.
