This is a difficult course if you have no coding experience, but it is designed and taught as well as possible to scaffold in the concepts to help you be successful. There is an open question that if these skills are being done so easily by AI, then what is the point? While I think there is some merit to that question, I personally enjoyed the class and concepts regardless - being more conversational in Python would never be a bad thing.

This is an introductory course but it is not easy. The subject matter is inherently difficult. Professor tries to make it easier but it's still a tough course. Only take this if you really want to learn.

The professor is really cool - he cares about the course and the students, put a lot of time, thoughts, and effort in it. He covers a looot of content to give students exposure to every main topic and tool in Python to succeed in the job market. So, it's not an easy course and needs strict following to keep up with the progress. But his lecture is very articulate and can learn a ton in a short time. The course combines basic syntax, common libraries, API, web scraping, advanced machine learning topics, stats, guest lecture, and applied group project Who is this class for? The content is very useful and super relevant for many careers in tech and finance. But the class moves very slow. The professor is not bad. He is very nice and explains everything super slowly. Overall, I wished it moved faster and the class was more structured. Definitely an easy class.

The professor is excellent. While the course is a bit unstructured he does a great job to offer live learning in Python, while still walking through the concepts of the course along the way. Great for all levels of experience with Python.

Class is mostly about data analysis, visualization, and regression. Useful for anyone going into an analyst role or hoping to learn general python syntax, but not super useful beyond that.

Entirely lecture, not at all engaging. I still don't feel I understand Python and I'm not sure the knowledge will stick over time. The professor is nice and helpful, but his style isn't very engaging. If you're looking for a relaxed class then this could be a good fit.

The course is still relatively new so the professor makes changes here and there based on student input. The professor is really passionate about the material, genuinely cares about the students, and provides all the resources you need to succeed in the class. The material is easy to understand for those who do no have programming experience at all but willing to make the effort.

This class starts with VERY basic python and gradually introduces more complex material. The pace is just right (maybe a little slow). Peng is a great professor - really listens to students and modifies course to make sure it is benefitting the majority of the students.

We have only had a few sessions but so far am really enjoying the class. Professor is engaging, approachable, and makes Python easy to learn. Class is geared towards people with no prior experience. The only drawback is there are homework assignments due every other session (1x/week) and homeworks are more complex than what was taught in class, so it involves some self-learning.
