Great class and a great professor. Course content is useful and interesting.

Dukes is kind of a quirky guy, but he's super smart and well-versed in the field. The subject matter of the course is tremendously useful, especially if you're going into marketing or marketing-centric product management. Builds on a lot of the material we learned in core (e.g. conjoint analysis, choice modeling, regression, etc.). Four take home assignments, in-class midterm, and final project. I've heard other people complain about this class, but I don't mind it at all. My only complaint would be that it's a bit slow at times, when you get into the laptop work (e.g. there's always at least one person who can't get the program to run correctly and it slows everyone else down).

The professor is REALLY smart and he REALLY cares. However, his communication isn't great. I think he could work on his teaching and communication style and then it would be great class. Some of the issues just come from the fact that it is his first time teaching the course. However, the material is fantastic and I have learned so much from this class.

While Professor Dukes is knowledgable on the topic, he seems to be more of a researcher than a teacher as his classes are somewhat unstructured. The software used in this class are expensive, and will never be used in your career. Class subject matter is good, however duplicate with a much better class - Siddarth's Market Demand and Sales Forecasting. Do yourself a favor, skip this one and take Siddarth's class...

This class needs to be offered during the afternoon time so more full-time MBA students can take advantage of its usefulness. You go beyond conjoint analysis (although this does take up a good part and you go home with advanced knowledge of this tool) and work with discrete choice models and learn how to do logistic regression, which will be very useful in the job search. Professor will make this class even better second time around.
