This is the worst course I ever take in Marshall. The adjunct professor does not have a sound attitude for the course and the full semester is on Zoom which it shouldn't be. He obviously disrespects students by notifying the Zoom link at the last minute. The course slides are just for his working, not prepared for the course. He never responds to email and spends least amount of effort in lecturing in course. He invites guest speakers but most of the time just asks students to ask questions. Who is this class for? Taught by two professors. Took as a filler class to suit schedule and a half-semester class, but do NOT regret taking it. Every class has a guest lecture, which is amazing. Feels like a class focused on bitcoin, but that is not true, as the class also takes one through some other topics such as wealth management. Allowed me to go into a topic I wouldn't have done myself. Many others in the class are people super into crypto. Professors are very chill. One mid term, one more quiz (packed due to the tight schedule, but very doable), and a final project as of Spring 2024.

Who is this class for? Best for students who want an comprehensive overview of fintech and blockchain - guest speakers make it super interesting for someone who has deep knowledge or has no prior Final Thoughts: I really love this class. It was very interesting and gave a good comprehensive introduction to the topic - some of the lectures were a bit dry, but the guest speakers were always really great. Nothing exceptional but overall super happy I took this course, nice to learn about a new topic without being worried about a ton of work or getting graded very difficult

Great class with high-level guest speakers. Some financial literacy required but definitely manageable for those without a finance background (i.e. def not a quant class). Professor can be a bit disorganized and didn't respond to emails, but the class itself is solid. Really appreciate that the content is continually updated and the material is very current.

The class provides a general survey of the FinTech landscape. Very broad but not particularly deep.
