Great course, not a good professor, the course content is important to know as a business graduate but the professor makes it terrible to bear. Although she did provide cheatsheets for exam, that helped.

The professor is the kindest soul out there and literally exudes compassion and understanding. You will have a good time on that front. This class is not a true macroeconomics class, but is the closest one can find in Marshall. Focuses heavily on fractional reserve banking, but also covers topics on GDP/GNP, national wealth, financial institutions, etc. You will read WSJ/FT and other business news pertaining to interest rates and the Fed much better at the end of this class. Two quizzes and a final presentation. The quizzes are hard and expansive. She gave us sample questions one or two classes prior to the quiz, but those questions are also kind of wide in swathe so you have to study. The slides are verbose, but that is trade off to reading a book for the course. Flex your demand-supply curves muscles from microeconomics for the first quiz. The latter part is mostly GDP/GNP Fed, financal crises etc.

Professor is nice but isn't very interesting and takes the whole class to teach something I can read in 20 minutes from her slides online. 2 mid terms. 1 final. And there is a group project. Mainly filled with MSF students. She also takes attendance

Professor Nazarian is a generous grader who cares about her students. The class covers basic macroeconomics and most of the tests are multiple choice.

This course has a lot of potential but is sooooo boring. The lectures seem unplanned, the professor rambles on without most of the class and doesn't really connect things with the textbook. The good thing is that he knows everyone's name. Even for finance focused students, I would not recommend.

Course provides good insight into capital markets and how macroeconomic factors affect the economy. It can be very theoretical in nature though depending on how the professor teaches it. Seemed unorganized and wasteful at times.
