The course is a good intro course for people interested in persuing investment management. Not really useful for anyone else, including people who want to run their own investments. Chris is great.

This class is really quantitative based. So if you want to learn how to find the regression analysis of a stock portfolio, then this class is for you. Teacher does a good job teaching it, but I just don't care to learn about the quant side. I just wanted the conceptual knowledge.

Lecture only. The whole class is just copying his notes from the board. Very boring class

Very demanding professor and class. Prof. Harris wrote the text book, used to be the Chief Economist of SEC and expects you to be on his level. No homework but 7 quizzes (best 6 graded) require ~10 hours of intense studying each (reading all chapters, going over all topics he assigns and reading many WSJ articles). Strong understanding of the economics of the stock market and plenty of free time for study strongly suggested.
