The professor is as knowledgable as they come. Dr. Green is a real guru of real estate and teaches from economic theory. The class can be improved if it was slightly more organized. At times there are erros on practice exams which make it a bit hard to study. Also, given Dr.'s high caliber, sometimes it can feel intimidating to approach him on questions, but overall great learning.

Professor really cares about students and the class is fascinating. The off tangent stories about the housing market is great

Professor brings tons of industry insight and practical expertise to the course. First half of the class is macro-economic in nature and mostly qualitative, while the second half of the course has a greater emphasis on quant.

If you're into mortgage banking, this class is for you. Prof. Green used to work at Freddie Mac and knows the MBS industry inside and out. The class is a bit quantitative (mortgage math) and the professor tells lots of great anecdotes. I would also recommend this class for anyone with an interest in fixed-income instruments.

Richard Green is extremely knowledgable and incredibly respected in the field. The content is very academic (sometimes detailed to a fault) but its really interesting dive deep into the issues that cause the housing meltdown in 2008. It's a challenging but really worthwhile course.
