Could go either way, started out strong but really faltered halfway through. If you need it to get you out of your comfort zone to "sell yourself", then take it.

Professor is not humble, but a nice guy. The class is super helpful for people who are still recruiting, even if you don't want to go into sales. It helps with interviewing, stepping outside of your comfort zone... and the class isn't too difficult.

Professor is good and the course is useful. Could have been a half course as mostly let out an hour early. Not a lot of work. Useful skills but lecturer does not post his slides or record lectures or have available time to reach him. So hopefully you remember everything from the class (although tests are all based on his book which is ok).

This is a really good class for someone who feels they need professional development or needs to learn how to better market themselves. The tenants he teaches however, are directly from his book and if you read the book you don't necessarily need to take the class. It's an OK class. This is not a class you left your job for. This is not a class that is going to alter the course of your career.

The professor Steve Martin is very arrogant and full of himself. The book he wrote is the basis of his class, and he wants his students to memorize every term he made up and concept he named as if it was gospel. I found this to be a class where obvious, known concepts we have all already learned in intro psychology, communication and marketing courses were given new names with a sales bent. We learned a few interesting things, but not enough to make this a useful full semester course.
