Only a few guest speakers were decent, everyone else was meh. You can find better guest speakers in other classes. It's mostly theoretical based and some things that are just common knowledge or sense. For example, we did a class on storytelling and he walked us through the three act storyteylling model, which to me could've been 5 minutes. I don't think I actually learned much in the class, so it's boring. However, the work is decently light. So if you want a class where you just talk about/listen to entertainment topics and have little work then sure, but don't expect to learn anything useful.

Excellent guest speakers and nice professor. That said, the course is a little too involved with the theory behind marketing practices in the industry rather than application.

This class looks much more closely at what is creativity instead of how you can apply it to marketing. While the class is relatively straightforward, it was frustrating that we didn't get beyond talking about what humor was and how can you apply it to basic ads. The guest speakers, however, are very good.

This class is much more academic than it is preparing someone for a career in entertainment marketing. We cover very broad topics like what is humor and how does fashion play a role in our collective consciousness? If these are things you want to study, I recommend but I felt like this wasn't my goal from the class so I didn't get a lot out of it. I will say the professor did bring in some great guest speakers and that was the highlight of the class.
