The content is super interesting, but the learning curve is pretty steep. You're expected to learn and utilize a new software without much guidance, and the midterm was pretty difficult even in a group setting. The professors are very nice and try to accommodate all students (they recognize we are not all experts with the software).

This course is fully online and while the overall workload is relaxed, the actual 3 hour class period is usually quite strenuous (a lecture and a long in class workshop every week). The professors are really nice and seem to listen to feedback, so the format may change slightly. The content in this class is very relevant for thinking about geography and demography in marketing, and we have learned some hard skills in geographical analysis that would help in marketing roles.

Professor Burgos is amazing, super smart and kind. This is the first time they ran this class, so there were definitely some hiccups, but the professors adjusted well and were super understanding. I believe that GIS is a super interesting tool that MBA students should know about, but we don't necessarily need to know how to use the tool itself (which most of the class focuses on).
