MOR 542 - Strategic Issues for Global Business

Professor Voigt is very entertaining and always has a lot of life experiences that he ties into the lectures. However, this class does have a lot of work for what it is. It has small group assignment, individual assignments, midterm and final project.

Great professor and relevant course material

Course helps you see global business in a different light. Going to Tijuana with the class is a great experience that enhances understanding of the concepts we learned in the first year global strategy class. Voigt shows a hard exterior, especially early on, but you quickly realize he is an amazing person with great experiences and tremendous knowledge of global business.

Extremely good professor, with humor. Teaches with sincerity and commitment. Class is an excellent look at international business strategy.

Prof Voigt doesn't have the most straightforward appraoch to teaching strategy, but I find his personality and teaching style to be refreshing. He provides a ton of real world context with each case he teaches. Although case conclusions are sometimes a little all over the place, he tests only based on concepts and general understanding of framworks.

Professor Voigt has years of experience and is able to use that to show the class how global strategy works. I learned how to think strategically and how to approach going global from a company's perspective. The cases we read and discussed were also interesting and he asked for our input at the start of the semester on which cases we wanted to study.

This class sucked so bad due to the Professor. Zero actual learning, truck load of ancedotal, irrelevant, repetitative, bs stories. What an absolute waste. [useful field] No, if only Carl would stop his stories

Entertaining and interesting class! Voigt is great at engaging people, can be tough, but seems fair.
