Spring 2018 · Perlman, Kenneth · 3 units
Useful for anyone wanting to learn more about organization design, how to build and lead effective teams, or anyone going into human capital consulting, HR, or general management. Workload is 1 case to read per week, 2 group case presentations throughout the semester, and a midterm/final.
Spring 2017 · Perlman, Kenneth; Easton, Andrew · 3 units
This course is very useful and only useful to those pursue a career in human capital consulting. There's not much teaching but more self-studying of course materials. If the students don't spend a huge amount of time outside of class to understand the framework and concepts, the classroom learning won't be effective at all.
Spring 2016 · Blumenthal, Judith · 3 units
I found Professor Blumenthal to be a fair in her grading and expectations of the class. The class has amazing speakers!
Spring 2016 · Blumenthal, Judith · 3 units
Don't take this class if you're not interested in HR, human cap, or any related field. Blumenthal has a lot of annoying speech tics BUT she is a nice, accommodating professor and brings in interesting guest speakers. Presentation was graded leniently. The quizzes are all dependent on very specific terminology, which requires a lot of unnecessary memorization.
