Professor Sloan made the content easy for me to understand, as I don't come from an accounting or financial background.

Highly recommend Prof. KR’s class! He makes accounting and financial analysis, which can often feel dry, engaging and interesting. His lectures are very well-structured, and the cases are highly relevant. The workload is moderate. I strongly recommend this course, especially for students with no prior finance background.

Not much workload, but lots of conceptual and numbers. May require bit of accounting background to follow.

KR is a great professor and presents the material in a very clear way. My only comment on the class, along with several other Marshall classes, is that the big ticket item deliverables are all due at the tail end of the course. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a team project and an exam towards the end. I am all for classes that break up deliverables in chunks of equal weights. There are more important things than becoming a sweat shop of deliverables at the tail end of the semester (e.g. recruiting).

Fundamental class but assignments are very handy - you basically learning through doing assignment.

If you want to build off of the basics picked up in 510 and get more in depth on applications of financial data points this course is excellent

Professor is passionate and has a lot experience but often he just assumes that most of the students knows certain concepts and goes fast. It could have been better if he takes time to explain important concepts and goes step by step

Professor is great and is willing to repeat or answer any questions. Builds a lot on your accounting basics as you go into more depth. Assignments are hard and can be a lot though

It is still a foundational course following the core accounting one. It gives a deeper layer of analysing statements and learns a lot! The professor is absolutely knowledgeable but the assignment is a lot and hard though.

Subject is extremely dry and hard. Moreover a majority of students are not from MBA program and they were from accounting and finance programs. So, might be slightly disadvantageous in the final curve of scores as the others are quite familira with most of the topics
