Excellent class. Professor really cares about her students and wants everyone to learn. 1-2 readings every week with a short poll to fill out. Discussion based but she is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Very interesting class. It really gives you a lot to think about even if you don't start your own company. Heavy on cases and you have to submit a poll for each the morning before class -- I found it useful to read both cases on the weekend to ease up on the workload during the weekdays. Also be ready to participate - lots of in-class discussion.

This class provides very useful information for entrepreneurs, but also for anyone who is interesting in working at a growing company and identifying market opportunities. Professor Lubinski is very engaging, knowledgable and passionate about the subject

Not the most useful for consulting, but still a class I'm very happy I took as I have some interest in entrepeneurship down the line. Before each class is a survey to fill out that is based on the previous class as well as the assigned case (typically 10-15 pages, takes about 15-30 minutes to read.) Professor is extremely engaging and dynamic.

Very much a discussion-based class. The course introduces students to many difficult situations they are likely to face as entrepreneurs or employees at a startup. There are also some helpful frameworks and key takeaways to help address some of the most common issues. The course does have A LOT of reading and a survey before every class. Final exam is a case where you apply learnings from the course.

Lots of helpfuls skills and content taught around entrepreneurship. The professor is deeply committed to the class and high energy. However, be prepared for an onslaught in case reading as a survey related to the case is due each class and the professor can be a bit flippant towards students who she doesn't think read the case.

Easily the most engaging class I've taken at the school. Was adopted from one of the highest requested classes at Harvard and is heavily discussion based amongst the students. Currently in the night class (once a week) and I've never seen 3 hours go by so quickly. I believe the professor is fairly new to the school but he is phenomenal at faciliating conversation. While the applicability of it is questionable (especially if not working in entrepreneurship), would highly recommend for anyone looking for something interesting.

While I don't plan on becoming an entrepreneur, this class was hands down one of the best classes I've taken at Marshall. I learned a lot about the variety of considerations when founding a business--both the interpersonal and strategic dilemmas founding go through. Prof. Wasserman is skilled at facilitating discussions and making the class engaging as possible. I look forward to coming to class everyday. This class is great for aspiring entrepreneurs and non!

This is how MBA classes should be. The professor is the most engaging, caring professor at the school and does an incredible job managing the room. For these reasons, you will look forward to reading the cases and participating in class. You don't have to be interested in entrepreneurship, it'll help you think critically about other decisions you have to make. Do yourself a favor, take this class before you graduate.

Noam is undoubtedly the best professor I've ever had (Marshall & Undergrad). He is in complete control of the classroom and everything you are doing throughout the whole class period has a specific function leading to what he is trying to teach for that session. He has written almost all of the cases you will go over and has many contacts throughout every function of the industries and roles you will be covering and these contacts come in and are actual useful guests in the classroom (Not that Deloitte guest speaker who is teaching you almost exactly what you learned from the EY guy the week before). I would recommend regardless of whether you want to be an entrepreneur or not. I had this class at 5 pm on Thursday following a 5 hour break and never felt inclined to skip and start the weekend because I was always looking forward to the valuable lessons ahead.

Best class I've taken in 2 years at Marshall hands down. Gives you a new perspective and highlights issues we otherwise don't talk about in class. Noam cares so much and plans his classes meticulously, which results in a great product.

When people say this is one of the best USC Marshall professors, you'll see why. It's not just the interesting material (regardless of if you want to be an entrepreneur), it's that more than any professor I've ever had, you can tell that Wasserman puts in the work. By making everyone do a 5-minute survey following each reading, it ensures that he knows what conversations to guide for each specific class. Never seen that before!

Without a doubt the best class you can take at Marshall. Each class was extremely interested and Noam does a great job teaching and engaging with all of the students. He knows entrepreneurship like the back of his hand and i also learned a lot from him. Even if you aren't entrepreneurial the class is EXTREMELY interest. Noam is a BRILLIANT professor and it came as no surprise that he taught at Harvard Business School. Take this class and be prepared to bid upwards of 500 points but i promise you won't regret it. Every professor at this university should aspire to be like professor Wasserman.

Best class I've taken at USC Marshall! Professor is extremely dedicated. Even if you're not interested in founding or entrepreneurship or venture capital, it's a worthwhile and educational class. Workload is different from other classes in that there's a small, ongoing amount of work for every class session, but no major project or deliverable. Highly recommend!

TAKE THIS CLASS. Hands down the best class I've taken at Marshall in my 2 years here. Just look up Prof. Wasserman on Google and LinkedIn. He's the real deal. You will not regret taking this class. Just attend the first class and you'll see why.
