Most exciting and organized class I have taken at Marshall. The professor puts an incredible amount of effort into making this class enjoyable, fascinating, and unique. I highly recommend anyone to take this course, as the incredibly high quality of work this professor operates at.

This is one of the best classes and teachers at Marshall. Wasserman is very engaging and thoughtful about content delivery. Every class has been interesting and full of life and business lessons. Even if you are not interested in entrepreneurship or working in a startup, this class has so much to offer and makes you really think about your life and career decisions. Awesome speakers and class guests (people who do demonstrations provide hands on learning through role plays). Case based class, no quizzes or tests but writing assignments and polls are due regularly. MUST TAKE THIS CLASS!

This course is probably not directly useful for my internship or immediate post-MBA job. But it provides a systematic approach to view businesses in early-stage and this could be extremely useful in the long term.

I am not interested in starting my own venture, but the lessons learned in this course are highly valuable. Professor Wasserman is commitment to the course is astounding. Not only does he bring high energy to every class, but he also listens and then implements our feedback. Student expectations are reasonable. If you plan on missing classes please do your peers a favor and do not take this course.

In the long run I want to start a business and this course makes you think about how to anticipate some of challenges one faces as an entrepreneur. I will definitely recommend this course. It also works as a strategy and negotiation class. One of the best classes, I took during my time at Marshall, if not the best. The professor is incredibly organized with a great structure that facilitates the learning process: - You receive a weekly email with reminders about the week's schedule. - You have multiple role play exercises. - You have three interactions in panels and round tables with successful entrepreneurs, alumni of this founder's dilemmas course. - You have more insights into the cases read because the professor wrote them all and he currently continues to write more cases here at Marshall. Side note: You have one case to read per class, for almost all the weeks.
