A little more technical than expected, but Professor Baiyz is very good at making sure the pace of the class suits your learning style. Content will be helpful for any role that requires organization or a bit of PM experience.

Professor Bayiz is clearly very knowledgeable, but importantly, he is approachable, likable, and kind. He doesn't seek to intimidate students and encourages students to ask questions. The workload is manageable, mostly individual assignments as well as assignments that can be completed as a duo with another classmate. His assignments reflect what he goes over in his lectures. There is one group case/assignment but I think it's also manageable. I haven't taken his final yet, but his midterm was fair. It was very long, but there were no surprises. Just make sure to manage your time when you take tests. He does tend to go fast during his lectures, but they are recorded so you can replay them.

Professor Bayiz has a very balanced workload, but there are deliverables most weeks that take 1-2 hours. He covers the material at a quick pace, but not too quick, and he hates tardiness and will call you out. Who is this class for? Future project/product managers or anyone with an organizing role within their company. Final Thoughts: Professor Bayiz is great and this class requires some work, but is rewarding. I highly recommend it.

Who is this class for? Students who want to learn the fundamentals of project management. Final Thoughts: Prof Bayiz is awesome and a great professor. I think learning the fundamentals of scheduling and risk management are great for most managers even if you don't think you will be doing much direct project scheduling in the future.

The workload is very manageable — typically one case reading and/or a short homework set each week to reinforce concepts covered in class. The professor is understanding, approachable, and genuinely wants students to learn and succeed. Overall, the course provides a solid foundation in the basic building blocks of effective project management and equips you with practical tools and knowledge that can be directly applied to managing real-world projects.

While I think it provided some useful skills and ways to think about things, I don't think his content is tethered very well to real-world scenarios yet. I find myself disengaging a lot during his presentations, they're not very interesting.

Prof. Bayiz is very kind, and the workload feels very manageable. There are two exams - a midterm and a final and a short presentation. Even if every concept doesn’t show up in every job, project management travels well and is valuable in almost any kind of work.

Project management is a good skill to have in any industry. Bayiz is one of the sweetest professors at Marshall. The class can be a little challenging at times, but I’d say overall it is one of the easier classes at Marshall. Take it for the sake of learning the skills and experiencing one of the best professors in the program.

I like the class because it gave me a chance to learn new tools such as @Risk, or Monte Carlo simulation. I also found some case studies interesting. However, the way the professor delivers lecture is quite monotonous and basic. I would like it better if the lecture is more informational and challenging.
