Would definitely recommend this course and Murat has almost perfected the course content. Love it

Taking any classes with Murat is a pleasure. He keeps it exciting although he does go incredibly fast. There's a lot going on in that class at all times.
Fall 2022 · Bayiz, Murat · 3 units
Professor Bayiz cares about his students a lot. If you feel even slightly confortable with numbers - this course can be a breeze but also helpful. Project management skills are helpful in any career functions or ibdystry you choose to go into.

Good overview of project management tools.
Fall 2022 · Bayiz, Murat · 3 units
Solid overview of project management, including the tools used. Lot of in class practice in Excel. Dry at times but Prof Bayiz is so sweet and helpful - he truly cares. Fair load of work - partner HW assignments, midterm, 1 group presentation, final.

Great professor, brings in snacks to class some times. Class is not overly challenging but content is largely useful.
Fall 2022 · Bayiz, Murat · 3 units
Good class to get exposure to the basic concepts of project management. Material is not that interesting, but the workload is manageable. Professor Bayiz is clear in his expectations and he does a good job keeping it engaging.
Fall 2022 · Bayiz, Murat · 3 units
The class can be dry, but professor Bayiz works hard to keep the class light-hearted and fun. Do-able for those who do not come from a technical background.

The tools and techniques are useful and practical.

Really would caution against this professor, it is easy sure, but quite boring and poorly paced, disorganized... take with murat if you can
Spring 2021 · Arnesano, Cosimo · 3 units
If you have the choice, don't take this at night. It's painful to get through 3.5 hours of non-stop slides and lecture. Zero interactive class time unless you want to answer a direct question.
Spring 2021 · Arnesano, Cosimo · 3 units
Class provides a lot of good problems and information regarding PM. Cosimo is disorganized which can make it tough on a 3 hour class. Whenever he's teaching a really clear cut skill, he's great. asnwers questions, provides details, etc. Would be much better in person.
Spring 2021 · Arnesano, Cosimo · 3 units
Seriously, Cosimo is not a good/effective professor. He's all over the place and the class is clearly not a priority for him. If at all possible, take the class with Murat.

Unless you think about doing PM work, the class won't be helpful. Murat is dedicated, knowledgeable but tends to mismanage time.
Spring 2020 · Bayiz, Murat · 3 units
Class provides a lot of useful skills, but professor moves very slowly and spends a lot of time on qualitative discussions as opposed to actually learning the tools. Agree that Murat is one of the nicest and most reasonable professors, but that being said, time management is an issue and he is never able to get through lectures. Lots of (busy work seeming) assignments, but overall the workload is manageable.

Murat is one of my favorite professors. He cares about students a lot and is really patient. You can learn concepts, skills, and tools for project management. However, since I haven't had an opportunity to manage a project I can't say for sure how practical the skills are for the real life.

Professor Bayiz is great and very funny. He truly cares and tries to make the class fun. Second half gets a little slow with the cases but you learn Crystal Ball and MS Project which is really helpful

The topics provide a good overview of project management that I believe it applicable to any career function. The professor is very engaging and genuinely cares about his students (but plays favorites at times). There are quite a number of homework assigments in this class, but they are generally manageable.
