The class is not easy, but Scott is generous about the grades. You can get useful valuation knowledge from this class. A lot of team projects, so, you'd better have other electives less time consuming.

This is a really great class and is quite engaging if you put the effort in. Professor Abrams goes very quickly and can occasionally seem disorganized (can sometimes be tough to tell how the slides connect / why they are ordered in such a way); however, he really about his students and will slow down / reexplain concepts to ensure comprehension. I learned the most from this class by reviewing notes later and doing many practice problems - things will begin to click if you put in this effort. The class is rewarding, I have learned a significant amount.

Abrams is a great professor at making sure everyone understands what's happening in course. He also provides a lot of examples that make it engaging. As somebody not going into finance or without a finance background, outside of Corporate Finance, I've learned a lot from working with classmates regarding the our projects.

Very useful class and Abrams keeps it interesting and engaging (guys, guys, guys!) Must take if you're into finance and very good general knowledge even if not, would say it could be a borderline core requirement. Teaching style could be a bit more organized and easy to follow though.

Scott is amazing. He zooms through the material, which can be hard to follow if finance isn't your strong suit, but he's super patience if you have questions. Doing the practice problems helps with the group projects and the quizzes. Take the class for Scott. It's worth it.

Scott is an amazing professor and really cares about his students. Finance is not my strength but this class is very applicable and I've learned a ton! If you do the practice problems and pay attention in class you will be fine.

Abrams is hands down one of the, if not the best professor at Marshall. An absolute joy and brings his experience to discussions as well. Easy to learn actual concepts and helped immensely with finance recruiting

Great professor who is entertaining and cares about his student learning. He moves fast and it will be difficult to stay on top of if you're not quant-minded, but its very useful and he is a patient professor

Scott is great and really cares about his students. He moves quickly and sometimes allows students to derail conversations but for the most part you'll learn a ton in this class

Scott is a great professor and really nice guy who truely cares about students. If you're not going into finance i'd recommend taking this class in the fall because you don't have to take it with all the finance bros people. Scott moves really fast but you just have to tell him to slow down. Material can be complex and Scott can be all over the place but he's always willing to help.

Abrams really tries to get students to learn and wants you to do well. content is fast-moving but he will help you through it if you take the time to go to office hours

Great professor who cares. Learn how to value a company with more detail than Intro to Finance

Abrams even in the virtual medium is dyanmic. A lot of great and useful content and not as intimidating as Intro to Corporate Finance, as someone without a finance background. Cases are great ways to apply the lessons in class. Scott also cares and really wants you to know the material.

The professor is really good and the class content is useful for everyone who will be a future manager or business owner. He goes very fast in the class but is always open to help out outside of the class. The exams are not that difficult and is also curved.

Abrams is great! Yes, he goes fast, and no, I don't always follow what's going on in class. However, he models the tests after the practice problems and there's a big curve so you'll be fine even if, like me, you're far from a finance whiz. This is stuff all MBAs should know. Take this class!

This is very good extension to the Core Finance class. If you want to take one more finance class beyond core to understand how companies are valued, stocks prices are impacted and financial statements are analysed, yhis is the class. Abrams is very approachable and he is willing to help students learn. Only downside is the sheer numberof slides he makes.

This class is good if you want to further your understanding of finance. I didn't take financial statement analysis before this course, but I've noticed those who have seem to follow along better in lecture. The course helps you determine how a company is performing (growing, maturing, etc.) Really like Abrams as a professor.

This class is helpeful, but goes at really fast pace. Abrams is really speaking fast, but very accessible and friendly for questions. If you are interested in M&A, PE classes, it would be the must prerequisite.
