Light workload, pretty easy exam. Professor is a little dry and the stuff taught is pretty basic.

Not very insightful. Great class if you want light workload and need to fit your schedule.

I am not focusing on marketing so this class was not the most useful. But Professor Ulkumen is great, and I could see this being a valuable class to the marketing oriented folks.

there is a lot of busy work in this class/small assignments that feel unnecessary but the big portions of your grade are two midterms and a group project Who is this class for? great for anyone interested in CPG Final Thoughts: Professor Diehl brings in great guest speakers
Fall 2025 · Diehl, Kristin · 3 units
This class seemed very interesting at first but the things we talk about is so general, seems like undergrad things. Nothing new learned here and the assignments are pretty useless
Spring 2024 · Badame, Diane · 3 units
A lot of work writing wise, some individual and group assignments, there is a midterm, the final is a group presentaiton - overall she is easy going and an easy grader - she does expect you to attend class

Professor is not good and too much work, would be better class with different professor
Spring 2024 · Badame, Diane · 3 units
As someone who struggles with Marketing concepts, this class is incredibly informative and Prof. Badame does a great job of bridging concepts together. In-class exercises are interesting and guest speakers are fantastic. It is a lot of work though, so please plan accordingly with your schedule, but overall really manageable!

Professor Badama is super passionate and a great teacher. The guest speakers are fun and we do interesting activities in the class that make it enjoyable. There is a fair amount of work however, so just know that going in!

This class is a lot of work but interesting. Good guest speakers and fun in class exercises
Fall 2024 · Diehl, Kristin · 3 units
This class has a very easy workload and the content is easy to grasp. I would say that overall we have not covered too much content (I wish we would learn some more honestly) but the things we have covered can definitely be applied in a marketing or entrepreneurship career.

Chill af. I breathe a sigh of relief in this class knowing that I can daydream for all of class and still ace every assignment.

Spring 2022 · Ulkumen, Gulden · 3 units
The notes and learnings for every class are extremely organized. Pretty minimal workload - there are a few short papers and one group project. The midterm was open book and I imagine the final will be as well. Gulden is an excellent professor and very passionate about the topic.
Spring 2022 · Ulkumen, Gulden · 3 units
This semester's class was completely online and all exams were open-book, open-note (not sure if this will be the case in the future). Gulden is extremely organized and stays on track with her lecture slides. Most of the information is pretty straightforward, but overall a pretty interesting class that should be an easy pass.
Spring 2021 · Ulkumen, Gulden · 3 units
Gulden is great, and passionate about consumer behavior as it is her area of expertise. The class content is interesting and helps you to understand how people think and make decisions (which can be useful for many career functions). We've also had some great guest speakers so far. Some overlapping content with the core marketing class for those who took it with Gulden. Overall a pretty easy but interesting class.

I think Professor Folkes in fantastic. We have a small class, which may no be the case in future semesters, and have fun class discussions.
