Decent class with quality material. Sometimes lectures get a little to "in the weeds"... would be good to have more of a broad understanding of topics rather than focusing deeply on the data, but overall a good class.

One of the best classes at Marshall, but you probably already know that.

I do not know why the 2nd years spoke so highly of this class. It is pretty boring and teaches you some financial modeling but requires you to have a very specific dataset to make use of it. Overall, there are other excel classes that make a lot more sense and will be a lot more useful.

Good course? Yes. Worth bidding all of your points on? Probably not. You will learn models in Excel that are useful for predicting and optimizing sales. Siddarth is entertaining and cares whether students are learning.

Very practical. Prof is great. A descent amount of work and he moves very fast in class. Take it if you feel comfortable in excel. I would 3 taking other excel based classes first if excel is foreign to you.

heavy course. nice learning. lot of understanding of practical applications of market demand and sales forecast. i would 3 this for product management, product marketing and consulting aspirants. Prof. is funny and keeps the class engaged and entertained. although, sometimes he becomes a little too liberal in employing inappropriate humor. Over all, a nice learning experience. Prof will make you work hard on the assignments for grades. not easy to score.

Learn different models to forecast sales and market demand. A must for all future marketers. Fast-paced, but totally manageable.

Best class at Marshall. Marketing analytics focus is very valuable - using excel on an every class basis was instrumental to learning the concepts. Cases are tough but definitely teach the material. No midterm so bracing for impact on the final. Siddarth is hillarious, and an excellent teacher, and this class will give you the project you want to talk about in interviews moving forward. Take the class, it's worth the 600+ points. Ideally pair it with a few easier classes so you can pour your energy and effort into this one. Worth reading the cases and doing the non-mandatory, non-graded homework.

Very hands-on, model oriented marketing study class. Siddarth is a wonderful professor, both the class and assignments are worth the time invested if you are serious about marketing.

Take it! Note: If you are bidding, then bid really high. Else don't bother bidding.

Strong excel learnings in business context. Cool. Professor knows his stuff. Having said that, many of the cases and examples are dated, and focus mostly on CPG examples. Very applicable to practical real world applications, though.

Good content. Mixed feelings about the execution - mostly a mess to really learn something with a lot of work needed to be done to figure out what is going on, but happy overall with the course.
