The class content is very interesting and relevant to any marketer. The first half of the class goes deep into analyzing the numbers and the overall data science behind digital campaigns and can feel a little complicated for some people. Who is this class for? Marketers trying to better understand how the digital marketing world functions and operates. Final Thoughts: The professor is highly knowledgeable, and another instructor—who teaches some of the lectures—brings extensive experience from working with a variety of successful brands. Together, they create a strong synergy between academic theory and real-world strategy.

You can learn a lot about digital marketing. Not everything the Professor teaches is on class slides, so you need to pay attention in class if you want to do well in exams.

Professor Nikhil is commited in the sense that he regurly tries to bring updates in his curriculum and include what is the new tech which is aiding or disrupting digital marketing space. His selection of guest speakers is great in the sense that it covers to what he teaches in the class and beyond. This is much more than just SEO, SEM where in you can get the knowledge of how digital media strategy is used to boost top line of the company.

Course materials could be better organized. Professor are confusing sometimes. Python workshops are dry. We lost a lot of time with in-class exercises that lack approapriate preparation/background. Do not take this class.

Lots of useful information in this class, especially for those not familiar with the topic. The professor is clearly smart and knowledgeable, but has trouble synthesizing information and presenting it in an interesting way.

I took this class so that one day I could start my own website/business or at least understand the latest buzz regards digital marketing/strategies. Unfortunately, this class failed to deliver that other than giving a brief skeleton structure about what's out there. I learned more through YouTube videos and Googling the terminology and concepts introduced in the class. The actual delivery of the content could be immensely improved by the professor. If anything, this course feels like an undergraduate course where you would be memorizing terms for the midterms rather than critical thinking skills and application of the content for a business.

He is knowledgeable. But goes off on tangents. A lot of disinterested students surfing the web. Many students don't show up to class. Seems like it is tough to get good grades. Exams are all short answer type..no MCQ.

Everything is going digital. This class was super helpful in giving a high level overview of digital marketing and how to approach KPIs, email marketing, etc. I even used a lot of it during my summer internship!

Although I'm not pursuing a career in Marketing, I have taken multiple Marketing classes that I feel are helpful for anyone. This has not been the same case for me. Evaluations are not hard. The class is dry although topics are somewhat interesting. He brings around 4 guest speaker and provides real-life consulting project in which you can provide recommendations about how to improve the digital marketing strategy of the company (even getting access to the company's google adwords account which I find very interesting).

This lecture-based course was sometimes slow, but covered very up-to-date material. Definitely useful for my internship. Aside from the final group project, very little work outside of class.

A great background for anyone wanting to know more about marketing on the Internet. This course provides a detailed overview on each concept. Should have been offered in conjunction with Intro to Marketing.

I really like that there's a real life hands-on project for the course. It's a great place to apply everything we've learned.

It is a very basic class, and I felt that a lot of it I ended up knowing simply because I use social media. Weiss does offer a new perspective and even explains html and introduces a lot of vocab. There are 2 short answer tests and in order to get a good grade on them, you really do have to be going to class or have some good notes. There is also a course long project, where we essentially consult for an actual company. Overall, it can be dry at points, but there is some good information if you are getting into digital marketing.

Prof. Weiss is a current practitioner, due to his leadership of his company Marketing Profs. His information is up to date, and his explanations are very clear. A great class for any aspiring marketer.

If you are into digital marketing, this is a great class. Professor Weiss is extremely experienced and very smart. / He brings a lot of his own experience to the class and the material is very useful. / A lot of the concepts do get pretty technical though, so if you don't have a tech background, or you are not interested in learning more tech things, it might be a bot harder for you to follow. / The project is a bit vague at first and is pretty independent (no deliverabels during the semsmter, just final hand in - no presentation)

You're probably thinking "I know everything about social media, SEO, etc." You don't, Professor Weiss is very knowledgable on both marketing, but also the technology behind everything. No reading, just need to show up in class making it a very straight forward class. Professor Weiss is very funny and keeps the class entertaining. Worth taking if interested in marketing.
