While about building creativity, it also looks at yourself and tries to expand how you think and judge yourself to help you be open to new ideas. Really great guest speakers and activities.

This class is fantastic. Minimal workload, relaxed environment, and useful concepts. Go in with an open mind and you will get a lot out of this course. Joe is a fantastic professor. I've been able to apply a lot of the concepts introduced to my own life and have tremendously appreciated it. Some people don't take the class as seriously as others, which is to be expected--many take this class thinking its going to be an easy one, and they're not entirely wrong. You get out of it what you put into it. One of the best courses at Marshall.

I absolutely loved this class. Joe is an amazing professor and really cares about making sure the students have a useful and pragmatic experience despite the somewhat nebulous subject matter. The coursework centered around creative writing; having novel, unique experiences; and meditation and self-reflection. Don't expect an easy A here as there's plenty of work to be done and it's evaluated fairly. However, if you're willing to buy into and commit to the assignments, you will come away having had a very valuable experience. This course offers tons of practice both presenting to an audience as well as being willing to push the boundaries of your comfort zone. Technically this class falls under the Marketing department but don't expect to learn anything about traditional, business-centric marketing as you will in other courses offered by the Marketing department. Don't take if: you already do a lot of self-reflection and meditation; you want something more focused on the business aspect of marketing; you get uncomfortable being the center of attention or letting go of your inhibitions, and don't want to be challenged in that regard.

Paper due each week. It's not difficult, most of the time just mental exercise sharing. But sometimes it's pretty stressful. Class structure is basically half of it class sharing, half of it activity. Can't tell if it's really fostering creativity, but it did has some great activities.

This is definitely your typical "fluff" class for an MBA program. However, with that said, there are some really interesting topics you will learn about in this class which can help you manage your stressful life throughout the MBA program, as well as throughout your career. Joe Priester is awesome, and I would highly recommend this class as a way to put you out of your comfort zone and help you slow down a little bit, when everything else is such a rush.

This course has helped my confidence with presenting in front of class and managing stress from an overburdened workload.

Had heard a lot of good things about the class. There's a 2-page reflection every week (sometimes along with another assignment). Interesting in the sense that it makes you do things you would never do otherwise and push you out of your comfort zone but not too sure how useful it actually all is

Course is more about overcoming fears, anxieties and allows you get to know classmates in more personal ways. Priester is great. Unusual course at the surface, but i'm glad i took it.

the class can help you overcome internal struggles that is holding you back in your career and personal life. Only take it if you're willing to put work into the class. Otherwise, it'll be a waste of your money and time.

I'm sure you've already heard about this class. I loved how this class allowed for conversations that would otherwise never happen on our campus, with people you might have never gotten to know. This is truly one of those classes where you get as much as you put into it. I've experienced so many activities through this class that I would have probably never experienced otherwise and have gained such a respect for my classmates and their backgrounds. Highly, highly recommend.

I had high hopes for this class given recommendations from second years but have been pretty disappointed. Some of the activities are cool, but I think the professor was a little over exerted this semester (he said so himself) so the class feels disorganized a lot of the time. He also let too many people into some sections which I think ruins the vibe of the class.

This class did a great job of challenging your perceptions of the world, yourself and your abilities. I think the class would have been more powerful in a smaller setting (my class had over 40 people). This class will be especially challenging for you if you do not like reflection or talking about your thoughts and feelings with a group of people. I got a lot out of the class because I was open to what was being put out there. Its easy to think this class is just fun or kind of useless but if you commit to learning more about yourself you will get a lot out of it. Short paper due every week. Big project due at the end of the semester. Really enjoyed the class. Make sure you can attend every class, not only to get the most out of the experience but because attendance is a big part of your grade.

Professor is more creative than most with assignments (no syllabus, usually only tells us the paper topic the week of the assignment). Overall a great way to spend time with classmates - yoga, meditation, painting, among many other activities - expect to be surprised.

The workload is light and it is a a life skills class rather than a professional skills class. I don't see any direct applications of the course to internship/ professional career.

I really wanted to like this class but it's just not for me. Most of the time is sharing your feelings in a circle Of a very large class. There's also a 2 page paper due every week. Attendance is mandatory as I think this is what your grade is based on.

So you're going to take this class because you heard it's the Yoga class and a blow off class. It is and it isn't. Your going to learn meditation, do stuff that puts you out of your comfort box, and a whole lot of non "bizness" related stuff. But if you embrace it, it's actually a really fun course, and can get you in a really good mindset especially if you are taking 4 other courses where you stare at spreadsheets all day. This class actually has a decent amount of work (a lot of reflection papers and writing) but if you embrace this class it's really rewarding. Also take it for the full semester. The half semester class is the same, but you just do less.

This class changed my life and how I approach new situations. That is all I will say about this class, as I recommend you checking it out for yourself. Have an open mind!
