Class started off very strong, but really tapered off and became useless. Spent 5 weeks going around the class and listening to what each student did that week. I love the basic concepts of mindfulness and surrendering and such, but the professor does not know what to teach after the first few weeks. This is NOT the easy class you're looking for. Take Mindfulness instead.

This class is awesome, especially if you have an otherwise heavy qualitative schedule. This is not an easy A, be prepared to write a lot - though most of the writing is journal style. It's very experiential, so you HAVE TO go to class and participate, but trust me, you want to go to this class.

Fun class but I'm glad I took the half semester. Got what I wanted out of it.

This is a must take class. While it does not provide any hard skills, it fortifies your soft skills and really does foster your creativity as the class name indicates. Certainly it's a fun class and broadens your horizons but I find that the lessons learned will play a pivotal role in my career.

LOVE IT. Wish I could have taken the full 3 credit class. Amazing experience and a great compliment to all the hard skills learnt. Really helps you to understand yourself better.

Such a breezer. I would even recommend taking the 3 unit and pair it with some interesting and more heavy workload classes. It's like group therapy + a chance to experience fun new things (the activities you get to do each week are suuuuper cool)

One of my FAVORITE and most memorable classes at Marshall, great for networking and thinking about things differently in business. Overall a very enjoyable class that makes you get out of your comfort zone in an enjoyable way.

Every MBA should take this class. I wish that I would've taken the full semester instead of the 1.5 unit. Joe is an amazing professor and this class provides thoughtful and practical tools/ways to balance our crazy lives. Great class!

The course feels like the most rewarding and can be rewarding if you throw yourself completely into the process. i.e. you get what you put in = like biz school

This is a fun class. Priester covers a lot of different mindful concepts and pushes people out of their comfort zone. It is the perfect complement to heavy business/quant courses. Some people don't take the class seriously and will probably get less out of it.

If you are looking for a serious class, do not take this one. It is definitely more of a feel good/inner peace sort of class.

One of the most interesting and different classes I've taken during b-school. Prof. Joe is awesome. He is extremely kind, flexibly and funny. Class involves many unique experiences designed to bring you outside of your comfort zone. I did not hear about this class from classmates but stumbled across it instead and it is HIGHLY 3ED. I am much more interested in Marketing now but wish I was introduced to this during core...

Priestess sounds like a nut a lot of the time and I go into this class feeling like I made a dumb decision every time but I never leave that way. It has been one of the single most useful classes I have taken and I find myself drawing on that experience regularly despite myself.

Love this class. One of the best decision in business school. It's all soft skills, and it's a lot of sharing, meditation, yoga, and other unconventional activities, but it is such a breath of fresh air from typical business school classes. Joe Priester is also an awesome guy and really cares about the students.

Amazing class! Joe is an awesome professor and took us to do really fun activities and also brought in some great class facilitators. Very minimal workload and mostly just a fun 3 hours well spent each week.

If you want to take this class because it's easy, and you do yoga, don't bother. You won't enjoy it. You'll hate the assignments, and you'll complain it's a waste of time. If you are willing to take the class with an open mind, challenge yourself, and really think about what Joe talks about, it will be the best class you take at Marshall.
