It is a very real-life-aligned course and very practical. The course will teach about leadership development in the professional career. I strongly recommend it for those who want to improve their leadership skills.

One of the best professors. Very good course content. Very practical suggestions for being a good leader. Stimulating class discussions.

Easy course, some interesting speakers, class engagement may determine how interesting the course is, key takeaways are definitely applicable, but might be obvious

Boring

Bresnahan is a great lecturer--funny, insightful, engaging--and the class/content is interesting if you're at all into the psychology of leadership. Not a difficult course, just an entertaining and engaging one!

Here's the thing about Bresnahan: He's taken the chill professor thing so far that he basically doesn't teach or do anything. His course pack is a disaster (poorly Xeroxed articles you can barely read despite being available online), he doesn't give feedback on projects, and it's almost all group work so he doesn't have to do much grading. If you need a low stress course from a low stress dude, this is it. You can learn if you put in the work, but there are other MOR courses that are much more rewarding.

This class is like all other Chris B classes, you do learn more about leadership but it is like all other Chris B classes. I would take influence and power if you want to choose, but a good filler class

Light workload. You get out of this class what you put in as it is primarily reflection based. The basis in psychology research is interesting, but you need to think about how it applies to yourself to get much from it. The readings don't get discussed in class which is frustrating, but can add extra examples for those who still read them on their own. Class is somewhat duplicative with other MOR classes, particularly Interpersonal Influence and Power. Guest speakers are a nice change.

Professor is nice and encourages good discussion. Brings in guest speakers which helps keep things interesting. Work isn't super stressful.

Great guest speakers. Not much content to be learned but more from reflecting on yourself, but even that isn't done at much depth during the in-class discussions. Speakers are great though. Workload is light and done in a group of your own choosing.

I don't think I will remember anything from this class. Course reader cost $200 and we have only discussed one reading in two months. You will get more out of Ken Perlman's Designing High Performing Organizations class.

Interesting class and the guest speakers were good. Lectures themselves weren't that exciting.

Course couls have been useful, but the Professor ruined it for me. He didn't exhibit good leadership, he was outwardly biased, was unorganized, and didn't seem to care about the development of his students. Hard to take leadership advice from someone you don't respect as a leader.

Only take this class if you have not taken similar other classes. I took it to fill out my schedule but had already taken Interpersonal Power and the material is very similar. If I hadn't already taken that, I would perhaps find it more useful

We're so behind on the syllabus, which is fine if you don't have the time to do all of the readings. A huge miss on the guest speakers, although the one we had was great. There are a ton of discussion breakout rooms and self assessment, which end with a lot of silence since people aren't really focused on the class. If you're loking for an easy class, this is great. If you're looking to learn something groundbreaking, not so much.

Great professor and interesting assessments but doesn't work so well over zoom (discussion heavy and everyone is checked out)

Very unorganized - super behind on the syllabus with lots of readings that we never even discuss. Also, we were supposed to have guest speakers, which never happened. Great if you want an easy class where you fill out lots of self assessments. If you want to actually learn and develop as a person, this class is a waste of time.

Great professor and some interesting content. Much of the course is group discussion based. A good course to pair with Interpersonal Power and Influence (MOR-567). Some interesting guest speakers.
